Bright and early Saturday morning, April 25, Jason Stein, our SVP of Construction, participated in the LGE Community Outreach Foundation’s 5K Run/Walk in Kennesaw, GA. CBI was proud to be the title sponsor of the event. The LGE Community Outreach Foundation was founded in 2009 as a way for LGE Community Credit Union to give back to the community. The Foundation, which is based on the credit union principle of “People Helping People”, represents the giving spirit of the employees of LGE Community Credit Union. Annually, the LGE Community Outreach Foundation organizes and conducts fundraisers to raise money to contribute to local non-profit organizations.

Lace up your sneakers for a worthy cause. The LGE Community Outreach Foundation is planning their 5K Run/Walk on April 25 at Barrett Summit in Kennesaw, GA. The event benefits eight non-profits in the metro area including Calvary Children’s Home, SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center and MUST Ministries in Cobb County. Consultants & Builders, Inc. is the title sponsor for the event.

Consultants and Builders, Inc. was recently selected to build out several restaurant locations for Chicken Salad Chick in Orlando, FL. The first 2,200 SF restaurant, set to open this summer, will be located in the Plaza at University at 12101 University Blvd, Suite 201, Orlando, FL 32817.

Tyler Williams, President of CBI, states, “While CBI still has dozens of financial clients in the Southeast, we see huge benefits from partnering with growing restaurant chains such as Chicken Salad Chick. Banking has changed dramatically in the past decade and as financial institutions continue to evolve and think like retailers, it is a natural fit for us to expand into the restaurant and retail markets. We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with the newest franchise of Chicken Salad Chick in Orlando.”

Chicken Salad Chick, one of NRN’s 2015 Breakout Brands, puts an edgy twist on a southern classic, offering guests a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as gourmet soups, flavorful side salads and freshly-baked desserts. They were recently named as the top chicken salad in the country to try in the March/April issue of Cooking with Paula Deen, as well as one of QSR’s “Ones to Watch”.  The Auburn, Alabama-based chain has 30 locations in the Southeast.

On Wednesday, March 25th, LGE Community Credit Union broke ground for its new branch which will be located in Canton, GA. The 4,000 SF branch will feature advanced function ATMs for all transactions along with engagement stations nearby for meeting with members to discuss their financial needs. In addition to conventional financial transactions, the Canton branch will offer Insurance, Investments, Real Estate/Mortgage Lending and Traditional Lending, including auto and personal loans. The facility will feature the branded look and feel of LGE Community Credit Union facilities. Personal bankers will greet members and guests as they enter the facility in the defined engagement zone. CBI designed and is building the new branch which is slated to open in October of 2015.

It’s proof that Americans value the credit union difference and it reinforces that Americans want financial service alternatives that offer real choices and put them first. GP Louisiana Federal Credit Union is based in Zachary, LA, near the Georgia Pacific Pulp and Paper Mill it originally served.  CBI was recently selected to design and build a new main office for the credit union in Zachary.  The 4,700 sf building will have a traditional exterior featuring a welcoming front porch with ceiling fans and rocking chairs where members can take time out to relax while handling their financial business. A nice outdoor pavilion to serve members and employees will also be included. The facility’s interior will have a transitional design featuring an on-line banking center, a 4 person teller line, a board room and a waiting area with a coffee bar and TV for member convenience. The building will also feature a drive thru with an ATM to give members added convenience. The new main office is slated to open in the 3rd quarter of 2015.
